Frequently Asked Questions

Many people think counseling is only for those with very serious mental health problems or crises. They think therapy is for people with problems bigger than theirs. Having a professional and private counselor gives you the freedom and safety to talk about anything your dealing with and find reliable and grounded support.

We offer the option of paying privately for therapy, however, most clients choose to go through their insurance and pay a fee for each appointment, the size of which is determined by their insurance.

Therapy is 100% confidential and we take seriously maintaining your privacy. There are very few instances that your therapist would break confidentiality and this is reviewed with you during your very first session to be sure you are informed of those limitations.

As a team of counselors, we do not prescribe medication. But we are able to support you as you seek out a psychiatrist or primary care doctor who does, and we can work together with them throughout your therapy to give you the best coordinated team support.

You can work with your counselor to find a routine that works for you. Typically, clients like to meet once a week. It is common for sessions to last one hour. You have the flexibility to end your therapy at any time, or change your schedule by working with your counselor.

The relationship between therapist and client is crucial for effective therapy. We have a growing team of therapists, and we work with you to find the right fit. If you ever feel like you need to change therapists, that is completely fine. We are here to support you.

Yes, but not with the same therapist. You may have one therapist that you see privately, and one that you see with your significant other. Your individual therapist will not share the content of your conversations with your couples therapist. This is encouraged so that you have the freedom to find support with issues that you are not comfortable sharing with your significant other.

For ethical reasons, we do not ask for testimonials from clients. However, we have many clients who are referred from others.

We hope these resources provide you with the support and information you need. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
