Let’s Talk

Garrett Hillman, LMFTA

Hi, I’m Garrett! I aim to approach my work from a person-centered focus working towards helping individuals and couples express and explore emotions in a safe environment. I always strive to be a support system for anyone who walks through my door, that helps you walk through past and present challenges that you may be facing and working to help you grow to be the best version of yourself.

I truly believe that therapy is a great way for everyone to be able to express and share the thoughts and emotions that they have while being able to feel safe and heard without any fear of judgment. And my goal is to show all my clients unconditional positive regard and compassion in every session and meet them where they are at no matter the life circumstances they may be facing at the time.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Whitworth University in 2018, I then went on to complete my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Whitworth University in 2022. I am to utilize methods such as Person-Centered Therapy, The Gottman Method, Emotion Focused Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art/Play Therapy, Lifespan Integration, and Solution Focused Therapy within his practice. While at Whitworth University my training focused on individuals, couples and families. I have completed certifications in Gottman Level 1, Emotion Focused Couples Therapist and Lifespan Integration Level 1.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, playing and supporting a wide variety of sports (football, soccer, basketball, hockey), as well as enjoying playing different tabletop games and video games.
