Let’s Talk

Heather King, LMFTA

Joining in August of 2025

Hi, I’m Heather. If you’re feeling off balance, overwhelmed, or just plain stuck, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, fractured relationships, or a foggy sense of purpose, therapy offers a quiet, welcoming pause. In that pause we’ll breathe, notice what hurts, recognize what’s still hopeful, and chart a way forward together.
No one struggles—or heals—in isolation. Each of us is woven into family histories, cultural stories, workplaces, and communities that shape how we love, cope, and make meaning. I help you see those threads clearly so you can keep what strengthens you and gently re stitch what doesn’t.
You are the expert on you. I will provide a warm, judgment-free space where your voice leads. With genuine curiosity and unconditional positive regard, I’ll meet you exactly where you are and walk beside you toward where you want to be.

How We’ll Work
• Deep Listening & Collaborative Goal Setting – honoring your insights while adding clinical perspective
• Lifespan Integration – weaving past memories into a coherent, calming story of self
• Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) – helping couples turn conflict into connection
• Practical Skills – emotion regulation, communication, and boundary setting you can use right away
Expect safety, the occasional tear, and a steady belief in your capacity to grow.

Who am I?
I grew up amid loss and grief, creating a deep desire to come alongside those who are hurting. I have found healing and peace through personal therapy and a relationship with Jesus, the foundation from which I love others. I spent 8 years as a military spouse and 6 years as a foster parent. I am a mother to 4 kids, both biological and adopted, and my husband is now a first responder. All these parts of myself contribute to who I am and my passion for helping. When I am not at the office, I enjoy being with my family, traveling, camping, spending time in our yard, and Friday Pizza Movie night.
